I am currently using a coolmatic 35 which contains about 4 gallons of antifreeze. I had to seal one seam and some rivet holes. I then penetrated the side of the unit and ran tubing from outside to a copper coil of about 80 feet. This coil transfers heat from the water to the antifreeze. I am using the cooled water to keep water quality samples cool in the field. My problem is that I will need a 4'x8' solar panel to keep the thing running (5a draw). I am interested in your Engle 35 which only has a 2.5a draw. My question is this. Is there an area around the top of the unit which is not used by the freezer pan where I could penetrate in order to get the water tubes inside. Also what is the dimensions of the actual freezer pan?

ON my new Engel MT 35F-U1 it has a plate that says " ac/dc automatic switch over ". Does that mean I can have it plugged into BOTH power sources at the same time and it will automatically switch to 12 volt if 110 volt isn't available. I have not tried it until I recieve your answer. I have a few questions about the Engel 45. My first question is...This freezer has the capability to plug into either the power supply of a car or right into an outlet. If it is plugged into a Conversion van...how long can it be left plugged into he van without the battery dying. When I put power on the fridge is sounds normal but I doesn’t cool, the fridge service centre thought it was low on freon and connected the compressor to a bottle of freon but it didn’t suck anything. The fridge was working fine 7month ago when I put it away and now it isn’t cooling !

Hello, I am working on a preliminary study of compressors to be used in potential regenerative fuel cell applications for NASA. The applications require oil-free compressors, and after looking at the information on your website, I would like to know if you think your swing compressors would work in the applications. The following are some very preliminary flows and pressures we are looking at: Hydrogen Compressor Suction conditions: around ambient T & P Discharge pressure: 5,000 to 10,000 psi Flow: Two cases: 20-50 SCFH, and 60-150 SCFH Oxygen Compressor Suction conditions: around ambient T & P Discharge pressure: 3,000 to 6,000 psi Flow: Two cases: 10-30 SCFH, and 30-90 SCFH Due to stress cracking concerns with hydrogen, and flammability issues with oxygen, higher metallurgy such as Monel will be required. Just received my Engel 15. Plugged it into car lighter plug. Drove for 45 minutes. The unit was frosty cold inside. But when I plugged it into the 12 volt battery supply on my boat it was barely cold. I checked the current. My batteries were well charged. The deference- I was running the car. Do I have to run the boat in order to have refrigeration from my Engel 15?
